Vol. 89 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Road.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the Land Commission road to holdings at Nevinstown, Cloghran, is in a deplorable condition at the moment, and that it is practically impassable; and, further, if he is aware that milk vans and other suppliers have refused to carry out deliveries to the residents on this road; and if, in view of this, he will take steps to have the road put into a proper state of repair immediately.

The responsibility for the maintenance of the road in question rests on the allottees for whose benefit this approach road was constructed. The Land Commission cannot undertake the maintenance of such roads in perpetuity.
