Vol. 89 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Raheny Telephone Facilities.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will state where and between what hours and under what circumstances as regards privacy, public telephone facilities are provided in the Raheny district of the Dublin County Borough, including particulars of such facilities furnished at the nearest point to but other than at the Raheny post office.

Public telephone service is available at the call office in Raheny Post Office normally between the hours 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. on Sundays and bank holidays. The telephone in the post office is in a room adjoining the shop and, although a cabinet is not fitted, reasonable privacy is assured. The nearest kiosk telephones are at Castle Avenue, near Killester, and Sutton crossroads. The question of provision of a street kiosk in Raheny village is being considered at present.
