asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he has yet received the deputation from the Irish Nurses' Organisation on the question of a pension scheme for all nurses and other matters relating to nurses' conditions; if so, if he will state the result of the discussions; and, if not, and having regard to his statement made in the Dáil on 5th May last that he would receive the deputation as soon as possible, he will state when the discussions will take place.

I received on Monday last a deputation representing a number of nurses' organisations, including the one mentioned. I do not propose to make any comment on the discussion which took place, except to say that the views then put before me will be fully considered.
