asked the Minister for Finance whether he has given any further consideration to the position of State employees who retired on low rates of pension; and, if so, whether he proposes to make arrangements to increase the rates of pension in view of the present high cost of living.
I propose to answer questions 2 and 3 together. I have had under consideration for some time this matter of granting increases of pension. My investigations on the subject are not yet completed.
Can the Parliamentary Secretary say now when he hopes to be in a position to make a definite pronouncement on this subject?
