Vol. 95 No. 1

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of County Dublin Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is now in a position to state when the balance of the McCarthy Estate, Lissenhall, Swords, will be divided and the names of the allottees given.

The Land Commission are not yet in a position to state when the balance of the McCarthy Estate at Lissenhall will be allotted, as a scheme therefor has not yet been prepared. Of the total of 173 acres which comprised the estate only 30 acres remain on hands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that there are a big number of smallholders in the Skerries area, and if it is his intention to acquire any land and divide it amongst them; and, further, if he is prepared to migrate some of these smallholders to other lands in North County Dublin.

Owing to the emergency conditions, the Land Commission are not in a position at present to acquire any lands for division among the smallholders in the Skerries area and no schemes for the migration of such smallholders are in contemplation.
