Vol. 95 No. 4

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take No. 2 on the Order Paper, Arterial Drainage Bill.

Deputy Donnellan has given me notice of his intention to raise on the Adjournment to-day a question raised on the 3rd October — old age pensioners' bank deposits. On that occasion he was forestalled by a prior notice given by Deputy Dr. O'Higgins.

Is there going to be any Private Deputies' time?

I understand not.

I wonder if it would be convenient for Deputy Donnellan to leave that question over? It would convenience me personally if it were not taken to-day.

Certainly, by all means, if it will convenience the Minister, I will leave it over.

I think that in the circumstances I am justified in promising Deputy Donnellan that his question will be given precedence for the Adjournment on the next day's sitting.

Will the Tánaiste say whether it is proposed to sit next week or not?

If we conclude the business on the Order Paper for to-day we propose not to meet next week or the week after.

If we do not finish?

Perhaps we will consider that later this evening.
