When is it proposed to take the Second Stage?

The intention with the new Bills is to have the Second Stage of each Bill ordered for next Wednesday, but the House is to understand that it is not proposed to take the Second Stage until after the Christmas Recess.
What on earth is the meaning of that gesture? The Parliamentary Secretary responsible says the Second Stage will be taken on the 14th February.
The date for the resumption has not yet been fixed.
