On the 29th March last I gave approval to the carrying out of repairs to Birr District Hospital estimated at between £2,000 and £3,000. It was ascertained from the county manager that a proposal for the supervision of the work by a competent clerk of works under the directions of the county engineer will be submitted within the next fortnight. I am not aware of the protests referred to by the Deputy.
