Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Tractors.

asked the Minister for Supplies if he will state (a) the number of agricultural tractors in operation in 1944 classified according to make; (b) the quantity of fuel supplied for those tractors in 1944; and (c) the estimated number of acres cultivated and harvested by tractors in 1944 as shown by the returns submitted by all owners of agricultural tractors.

As the answer contains a number of figures, I will have it circulated in the Official Report.

Information as to the aggregate number of acres cultivated and harvested by tractors in 1944 has not been compiled as I do not consider that the expense and labour involved would be justified.
