Vol. 98 No. 14

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take the business as on the Order Paper in the following order: Items 2, 3, 4 and 5, then items 1 and 6. The debate on the Public Health Bill will be interrupted at 6 p.m. in order to take items 5 and 6. If and when items 5 and 6 are concluded, the debate on item 4 will be resumed. It is not proposed to interrupt the business to-day to take Private Deputies' business.

I should like to know from the Government whether it is the intention to allow the First Reading of the Valuation Bill, 1945. The Government have suggested that it is not their intention to do so and I would almost like to claim it as a right, as a matter of Parliamentary courtesy——

The Government propose to take items 2, 3, 4 and 5 and then items 1 and 6.

The Government have intimated that they will not accept the First Reading of the Valuation Bill.

When we reach it, that matter can be dealt with.
