Vol. 101 No. 9

Written Answers. - Local Authorities' Officer Schemes.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the names of the local authorities in respect of which officers' schemes have been confirmed under the Local Government Act, 1941, and the Local Government (Officers') Regulations, 1943.

Draft officers' schemes have been submitted in respect of Carlow, Kildare, Kerry, Meath and Wexford County Councils, Drogheda Corporation, and Dundalk and Tralee Urban District Councils, but no scheme has yet been confirmed.

It is intended before confirming any scheme to circulate to local authorities a model scheme, but until the reorganisation of staffs, which has been proceeding for some time in most counties, is complete, it would be premature to put the model officers' scheme into circulation.
