Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bord na Móna.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the names of the directors of Bord na Móna; the terms of their appointment, and the remuneration payable to each of them.

The chairman of Bord na Móna is Mr. Robert G. Barton, and the other members of the bord are Messrs. A. O'Rahilly, Anthony Woods, Dr. Wheeler, and Mr. C.S. Andrews, who is managing director. The chairman and the members, other than the managing director, are required to devote as much of their time to their duties as may be necessary for the proper and efficient performance of those duties. The managing director is required to devote the whole of his time to the performance of his duties in that capacity. All of the members have been appointed to hold office for a period of five years beginning on the 21st June, 1946. The remuneration is as follows: the chairman at the rate of £250 per annum; each of the three ordinary members at the rate of £150 per annum; and the managing director at the rate of £1,700 per annum.
