asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state, for each county, the estimated losses of cows, calves and other cattle due to the abnormal weather conditions of last winter and spring.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of the 22nd April, 1947, to a question tallied by Deputy Cogan on the same subject. In that reply I stated that without a special enumeration precise figures of such losses could not be made available, and that even with such an enumeration it would still be impossible to distinguish between normal and abnormal losses.
