Vol. 106 No. 11

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: No. 7, Vote 41. No. 10, and after No. 10 back to No. 7 for Votes 5 to 26. Then Nos. 1, 2 and 3. It is not proposed to interrupt public business to take Private Deputies' business. The Dáil will adjourn until Tuesday next.

I gave notice of my intention to raise a matter on the adjournment concerning the Minister for Agriculture.

The Deputy must read out what the matter is.

To ask the Minister for Agriculture if, in view of the action taken by the Irish Bacon Curers' Association in reducing substantially the price to be paid to producers for pigs, he will state what action he proposes to take to deal with the chaotic conditions in the pigs and bacon industries, to ensure greater stability, to safeguard the interests of producer and consumer and to provide for reasonable profit margins for curers and distributors.

It can be taken at 10 o'clock to-night.
