Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Grain Imports.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state: (a) the amount of wheat imported, up to the end of September, 1947, for milling purposes; (b) the amount of barley imported for industrial purposes; (c) the amount of oats imported for the purpose of making oatmeal; and (d) if he will give the price paid per ton for each of the above commodities.

Final figures for imports in the month of September, 1947, are not yet available, but from the 1st January to the 31st August, 1947, the following imports were effected:—
