Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - River Feale Flooding.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is now in a position to state what steps have been taken by his Department to relieve the flooding caused by the rising of the River Feale in the vicinity of the Listowel racecourse and in the Ballyharrigan area.

The Land Commission have had an inspection made of areas affected by flooding adjoining the River Feale and have sanctioned assistance by way of free grants towards the cost of repairing embankments in the townlands of Ennismore, Poulnahaha, Killacrim and Ballyhorgan East and of sluices in the townlands of Finuge and Ballyhorgan East.
