asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state: (i) the causes of the delay in making public the Report of the Shannon Commission relating to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Land Trust houses; (ii) when the report will be published; (iii) whether the discussions relating to the matter with the British Government have been completed; and (iv) if these discussions have not been completed what action will be taken to implement the report and recommendations of the commission irrespective of any decision reached by the British Government.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is now in a position to state what steps he proposes to take to bring to a conclusion the claims of the people concerned in the discussions with the British Government relating to the Soldiers' and Sailors' Land Trust houses, in regard to which a commission reported more than seven years ago.
With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions 18 and 19 together. I cannot add anything to the reply given to Deputy Martin O'Sullivan on the 20th November, 1946.
