Vol. 109 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Flooding.

Mr. Corish

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that the area of King Street, Wexford, suffered severe damage from flooding on the 4th December, resulting in great hardship and loss to the residents; and if he will undertake a special investigation, with a view to having steps taken to prevent a recurrence of this flooding or to provide alternative accommodation for the residents affected.

I have not received any report or representations regarding the flooding to which the Deputy refers. I shall communicate with the local authority and when I have a report I shall communicate further with the Deputy.
