Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Power-Lawler Estate (Tipperary).

asked the Minister for Lands what steps have been taken to acquire the Power-Lawler estate, Longorchard, Templetuohy, Templemore, County Tipperary, for subdivision among the congests and the 18 cottiers who have conacre lettings on the estate.

The Land Commission have acquired the turbary portion of the Power-Lawler estate, Longorchard, Templetuohy, Templemore, County Tipperary, comprising 939 acres in the townland of Derryville and a scheme for its division is in course of preparation. Acquisition proceedings in respect of 177 acres in the townland of Longorchard on this estate were discontinued following the hearing by the Land Commission Court of the owner's objection.
