Vol. 109 No. 6

Order of Business.

As on the Order Paper, business will be taken as follows: Numbers 1, 7, 8, 5 and 6. Should the Statutory Instruments Bill, 1947, and the Libraries Bill be received back from the Seanad with amendments to-day it is proposed to take these after the business as ordered is completed.

Seanad Éireann have accepted the Garda Síochána Pensions Bill, 1947, without amendment.

No. 8 has been ordered but I have not received a copy of these Estimates and, on making inquiries from other Deputies, I find they are in a similar position. Surely we are not going to be asked to discuss Estimates we have not yet seen.

I thought they were distributed yesterday.

Not through the post.

They did not come through the post. They were not in my envelope this morning and the other Deputies with whom I spoke did not get them either.

I did not get them through the post but from the General Office.

They were left on the seats.

What time?

Are we adjourning to-night for the Christmas?

Will we sit to-morrow if we do not finish the business?

Yes, and next week too if the business is not finished.

And when will the Industrial Efficiency and Prices Bill be taken?

They have dropped it.

It is like the Valuation Bill.
