Vol. 112 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glasshouses in Connemara.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether, in connection with his Department's scheme for the erection of glasshouses in Connemara, he will state the name and occupation of the person from whom the land (a) was purchased at Carraroe costing at the rate of £400 per acre, and (b) was leased at Gortahork at the annual rent of £30 per year for three quarters of an acre.

The site for the central station in the Connemara area is situated at Inverin. It was purchased from Mr. Colman Folan (Colman), farmer, Loughanbeg, Inverin, County Galway.

The site for the central station in the Gortahork area is leased from Mr. James Cannon, farmer, Gleann Atha, Gortahork, County Donegal, at an annual rent of £20 which, after negotiation, was substituted for the original rent of £30 first proposed.
