asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will direct Dublin County Council to alter the proposed course of water and sewerage mains extending from Lucan to ensure that these services could be made available to persons residing along Cooldrinagh Road and also to a number of tenants residing at Cooldrinagh Cottages, beyond Lucan.

The new sewerage scheme at Lucan, work on which is at present in progress, does not make provision for the servicing of cottages at Cooldrinagh Road. It was found necessary in planning to exclude a number of areas, including Cooldrinagh, but it will, however, be open to the local authority to extend the sewers at a later date, and I am informed that this extension will present no technical difficulties.
