The distribution of sugar manufactured from the 1947 beet crop commenced in January, 1948. In the intervening period to date the average price received by the company for all sugar imported as well as manufactured from the 1947 beet crop was 56/10 a cwt. It is not practicable to state separately the price received by the company for sugar manufactured from the 1947 beet crop. It is too early yet to say what price will be received for sugar distributed when the manufacture of the 1948 crop has been completed.
