Vol. 116 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Sulphate of Ammonia Levy.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that a particular firm collects a substantial levy on every ton of sulphate of ammonia sold in this country; whether he will state the amount of this levy and if he proposes to take steps to prevent agricultural producers from having to pay such a levy when they purchase their raw materials.

I am not aware that a levy is collected on every ton of sulphate of ammonia sold in this country, but if the Deputy will favour me with particulars I shall have the matter investigated.
