asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (a) the number of houses being built at Tolka, Finglas, by Dublin County Council; (b) the number of eligible applications received for these houses, and (c) the date upon which it is expected to open these houses for tenancies.

(a) Eighty-four houses are at present being built by the Dublin County Council at Tolka, Finglas; (b) 101 applications for the tenancy of these houses have been received by the council from persons who are regarded as eligible to become tenants. A further 41 applications are under examination; (c) the council expect that 40 of the houses will be ready for occupation early in September, 1949, and the balance in February, 1950.
