Vol. 119 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Workers' Houses

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is now prepared to consider favourably proposals to erect workers' houses upon portion of the Santry Court estate, County Dublin, in the event of such proposals meeting with the approval of the local bodies concerned.

Because of the proximity of the Santry Court estate to the airport at Collinstown any proposals for buildings in that area must be examined to see to what extent they would involve hazards for aircraft landing and taking off from the airport. Any proposals for the erection of workers' houses upon portion of the estate that are made will be examined as sympathetically as possible, having due regard to the aeronautical considerations involved: much would depend on the extent of a particular scheme and its precise location in relation to the runways at the airport.
