Vol. 119 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Roads.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will arrange with the Department of Local Government to have grants made to Dublin County Council for the purpose of constructing proper roads to small farms of divided land in County Dublin, where, at present, only laneways exist.

When allotting untenanted land, the Land Commission construct reasonably good roads wherever necessary for the accommodation of the allottees. Some of these roads have been taken over by local authorities who are responsible for maintenance. In the other cases there are adequate State schemes for assisting the tenants in extending or improving the roads.
