Vol. 120 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands if it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire the lands of Lisseragh, Coolbawn, Borrisokane, County Tipperary, at present occupied by Miss Bruce; and, if so, when it is proposed to divide them among the uneconomic holders in the district.

The Land Commission inspected these lands but it is too early yet to indicate what the outcome will be.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware that the ParkerHutchinson estate, Castlelough, Portroe, Tipperary, has been offered for sale in the English Press, and if he will take steps to have it acquired and divided by the Land Commission between the smallholders in the district.

The determination of the particular lands to be acquired is a reserved function of the commissioners. The Deputy's representations have been noted.
