The price payable by creamery societies to their milk suppliers is affected by the amount of the subsidy paid in the form of production allowance on the butter manufactured, and by the price payable by the consumer or foreign consignee therefor.
No decision has yet been reached as to the amount of the production allowance which can be made available in the coming financial year.
