Vol. 124 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Clare Estates.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state at what stage the proceedings are for the acquisition and distribution of the Henderson farm, at Castlecrine, Moyalla, Sooreeny, and Kilnacreagh, Sixmile-bridge, and if an offer has been received by the Land Commission for the purchase of the entire farm, and if he is now in a position to state the decision of the Land Commission respecting the propriety of distributing this farm amongst the landless men and uneconomic landholders in the area.

The lands are being inspected with a view to acquisition and a decision will be taken in due course.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is in a position to state if representations have been made to the Land Commission respecting the acquisition and distribution of the Gore farm, Clonderlaw, County Clare; and, further, when a decision will be reached on the propriety of such acquisition and distribution.

Representations have been received for the acquisition of these lands. The matter is under consideration, but I am not in a position to state when a decision will be taken.
