I am informed by the board that the Cloughdun area has been considered for selection under the rural electrification scheme on a number of occasions but could not be selected, as the ratio of fixed charge revenue to capital cost was not sufficiently high in comparison with other areas in County Cork. The area will again be considered by the board early in the summer of this year.
