Vol. 125 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state whether he has approved of the modified plans submitted by the consulting architect to the North Cork Committee of Public Health for the improvement of the unoccupied wing in Fermoy County Hospital.

Documents consisting of drawings, specification, articles of agreement and conditions of contract relating to the proposed renovation of the unoccupied wing of the County Hospital, Fermoy, were examined in my Department and observations on these documents were conveyed to the local authority on 2nd March, 1951. It was indicated to the local authority on that date that, subject to those observations, the preparation of a bill of quantities for the building work could be proceeded with.

It is understood that the plans for the hospital and the Department's letter are still being considered by the local authority.
