Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Revenue from Customs Duty.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the total amount of customs duty collected during the year ended 31st March, 1951, on (i) clothing and apparel; (ii) motor car parts and accessories; (iii) oil; (a) mineral hydrocarbon light, and (b) hydrocarbon, other sorts; (iv) spirits; (v) tobacco; (vi) sugar, molasses, glucose, saccharin, sugar, etc., articles; (vii) wireless telegraphy apparatus.

As the answer to this question is in the form of a tabular statement I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to have it circulated with the Official Report.

Following is the Statement:—

The approximate net receipts of customs duty in the year ended 31st March, 1951, in respect of the heads enumerated in the question are:—
