Vol. 128 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Milk Tests.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that grave dissatisfaction exists among creamery suppliers in the Dingle area with the system of milk tests adopted by the Dairy Disposals Board which has resulted in suppliers in Dingle receiving the lowest price in County Kerry for their milk, and if he will have this matter investigated with a view to securing a fairer price for suppliers in that area.

The system of milk tests used by the Dairy Disposals Company is that prescribed by statutory Order and is the same as that used by all other creameries in the State. There should therefore be no reason for dissatisfaction with the system by suppliers to the Dingle or any other creamery.
