Vol. 130 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dundrum (Tipperary) Water Supply.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether proposals have been submitted to his Department for the provision of a water supply to Dundrum village, County Tipperary; and, if so, whether he will accord his sanction at once for the execution of the work; further, if he will take steps in the interests of public health to have work on the scheme commenced at once, in view of the deplorable sanitary conditions existing there at present and the grave local fears that a serious fever outbreak may occur.

I have received no proposals from the sanitary authority for the provision of a water supply scheme at Dundrum, County Tipperary.

I understand, however, that a consulting engineer has been engaged to prepare a preliminary report for a scheme.
