Vol. 132 No. 12

Order of Business.

Business will be taken in the following order: Nos. 2, 6 (in No. 6, Vote 57), then Nos. 4 and 7 and back to No. 6 for Votes 8, 9 and 10. I should perhaps mention that it was intended to take the Estimate for Social Welfare to-day but I understand that at the request of some Deputies it is being postponed until to-morrow. I would ask for the co-operation of the House in getting it passed to-morrow because otherwise a difficulty will arise in meeting the increases.

At what hour will the House sit to-morrow?

From 10.30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Is the Minister suggesting that the Estimate for Social Welfare——

There is a Supplementary Estimate being taken with the main Estimate.

If the Minister got the Supplementary Estimate, that would facilitate him.

If they were all passed except the main Estimate of the Department it would be all right. The discussion on the main Estimate could go on.

I desire to give notice that, with your permission, Sir, I shall raise the subject matter of Question No. 31 on the adjournment.

I shall communicate with the Deputy after considering the matter.
