There has been no undue delay in dealing with the scheme referred to by the Deputy which was proposed by the Cavan Urban District Council under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949. The detailed documents regarding the work proposed were only received in my Department on the 17th May last. It was necessary for one of the Department's inspectors to visit the site and report generally on the proposal. His report has now been made and I expect to be able to advise the council of my decision in the course of a week.
