Vol. 135 No. 8

Order of Business.

It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 6, 1, 9, 11, 10 (in No. 10 Votes 52, 27, 63 and 64), and 8. It is proposed to take Vote 27 at 6 p.m., and when that is concluded to resume on the Order of Business, omitting Vote 52. Private Deputies' business will be taken at 9 o'clock.

I asked the Tánaiste a week or so ago about No. 2 on the Order Paper when he said he would give me some information this week.

The Deputy is referring to the Intestates' Estates Bill. It is proposed to take that Bill on the resumption after Christmas. The Government will have some amendments to propose to it.

I understand that as No. 4—Civil Liability Bill—is a Private Member's Bill, it has to be put down in the time allotted for public business so as to enable it to be printed. Would the Tánaiste allow it to go down for to-morrow morning, purely for the purpose of printing so that it can be circulated during the Recess?

Certainly.

Would the Tánaiste do the same in regard to No. 5—Fatal Accidents (Amendment) Bill—which is also a Private Member's Bill?

May I ask if any arrangement has been come to in regard to the remainder of the business this week, and whether it is intended to finish the business on Friday as was suggested yesterday?

I think it is now confidently expected that we will finish on Friday.

By everybody.
