Vol. 135 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Eglington Canal Cleaning.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that the Eglington canal, Galway, badly requires cleaning particularly at the sluice-gates; and, if so, if he will have the necessary representations made to Córas Iompair Éireann to have the canal cleaned at the earliest opportunity.

The Lough Corrib Navigation Trustees are the body responsible for the Eglington canal and any representations which the Deputy may wish to make should be addressed to the trustees. The board of trustees comprises representatives of Galway Corporation, and of the Galway and Mayo County Councils.
