Vol. 136 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Car Parking Facilities.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the grave hardship caused more particularly to country residents by the lack of adequate car parking facilities in the centre of Dublin; and, if so, if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am advised by the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána that all places in the centre of the city suitable for appointment as kerbside parking places have already been so appointed. I am also informed by the Dublin Corporation that there are no vacant sites close to the centre of the city that could be used as off-street car parks.
