Written Answer. - New Drimnagh Hospital.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state (a) whether a hospital is being constructed near Drimnagh, Crumlin, and the purposes for which it is being provided; (b) whether the building contract was made by his Department; (c) the estimated cost and whether his Department will pay the full cost of construction, and (d) whether it will be managed and staffed by the Department of Health, Dublin Corporation or any other authority.

The reply is as follows: (a) yes; for the treatment of children's diseases; (b) No; (c) approximately £1,000,000; the full cost of construction is being met by grants from the Hospitals' Trust Fund; (d) it will be managed and staffed by a body corporate to be set up by the promoters of the project.
