The number of applications received to date by An Bord Fáilte for guarantees of loans under the Tourist Traffic Act, 1952, is 16. All the applications are still under consideration.
When was the first of them made?
I am afraid I cannot answer that question. The applications are made to the board.
I appreciate that. The Minister is aware that some five or six years ago the same thing happened. Applications sent in have been kept under consideration permanently.
I know that some of these so far as approval by me is concerned have reached the stage where that approval has been given.
