Vol. 140 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Land.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state whether the Land Commission have decided to acquire a number of estates in County Limerick which have been under consideration for acquisition and division for a considerable time and if, in view of the fact that there is much congestion in these areas, the Land Commission will take early action in the matter.

Proceedings have been instituted for the acquisition of a number of estates in County Limerick.

There has been no avoidable delay in dealing with the cases in question.

Mr. O'Higgins

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have obtained possession of the Delaney estate at Croghan, County Offaly, and when it is proposed to divide the estate amongst local uneconomic holders.

It is expected that the estate in question will be acquired and allotted this year.
