The total number of agricultural holdings of ten statute acres and under in County Galway on 1st June, 1952, which is the latest date for which these statistics are available, was 5,864. Particulars of the numbers of holdings of 20 statute acres and under have not been complied, but it may be of assistance to the Deputy to state that there were 8,313 holdings of 15 statute acres and under and 16,824 holdings of 30 statute acres and under in the county on 1st June 1952.
