Vol. 141 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Refusal of Air Force Commission.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware of the grave dissatisfaction caused by the refusal to commission a young officer who elected for the Air Corps, that the medical grounds stated are not well founded and that the cadet is in fact now a flyer in another army; and, if so, if he will, in all the circumstances, institute an inquiry into this matter.

It has not been found possible to identify the ex-cadet to whom the Deputy refers.

If the Deputy will communicate with me I will have further inquiries made.

I think that answer is cod. The Department is perfectly well aware that this is the son of a 1916 man.
