During the year ended 31st July, 1952, which is the latest period for which figures are immediatelyavailable, the total number of firearms certificates issued was 92,484.
The fees amounted to:—(1) £74,583 5s. 0d. for shotguns. (2) £13,954 0s. 0d. for rifles. (3) £614 10s. Od. for revolvers.
