Vol. 147 No. 6

Statement by a Deputy.

I should like to draw the attention of the Chair to the fact that I tabled a question to the Minister for Industry and Commerce which was to be answered to-day but which has not appeared on the Order Paper. It concerned an estimate of £150 by the E.S.B. in respect of 25 houses in Dunlavin, County Wicklow. I submitted the question in the following terms:—

"To ask the Minister for Industry and Commerce to state if he is satisfied that the charge of £150 by the E.S.B. for the extension of their service to 25 houses in Dunlavin, County Wicklow, is reasonable, and, if not, will he make representations to the board to reconsider the matter."

I submitted that question to the General Office on Friday last and I was told it would appear on the Order Paper to-day. Yesterday evening I was informed that it would not appear.

The question may have been answered yesterday.

Not my question.

The Deputy should make representations to me in my office and I will have the matter investigated.

I was called to the General Office yesterday and was told by the people there that the question was being taken off to-day's Order Paper.

Will the Deputy see me in my office after questions?
