Presumably the Deputy is referring to cases in which the 25 per cent. rate of stamp duty imposed by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1947 was paid. I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing, for each county, the number of cases in respect of which this duty was paid in the period from 1st January, 1950 to 30th June, 1954, in respect of sales of agricultural land and the aggregate area of land involved in these transactions. The corresponding particulars were not collected prior to 1950.
Following is the statement:—
