The scope of the Finn valley water scheme has been extended to cater for areas outside the Finn valley and it has been renamed the Lough Mourne water supply scheme. This scheme will provide a water supply from Lough Mourne to the towns of Convoy, Raphoe, Killygordon, Castlefinn, Lifford, Porthall and Ballindrait. Contract documents have recently been approved subject to the incorporation of certain minor technical amendments.
