Vol. 148 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Acquisition and Division.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission are now prepared to reconsider the question of acquiring the non-residential holding in Glen and Tully, County Roscommon, which is at present in the possession of Mr. J. Glancy.

I propose to ask the Land Commission to review this case.

Arising out of that reply, will the Minister bear in mind the fact that right beside this estate a large number of small holdings have been flooded as a result of the Shannon floods this year?

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the lands, folio No. 5456, which were formerly owned by John Towey, Teelawn, Ballaghaderreen, County Roscommon, and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission have considered the question of acquiring this holding but have not decided upon taking any further action.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission have considered the propriety of acquiring the adjoining lands of Patrick Duffy and John O'Donnell, Raherolus, Ballaghaderreen, and, if so, with what result.

The Land Commission have decided to take no action as to the acquisition of these two small holdings which between them comprise only 22 acres.
